When I got my second pay check, I had salary ($3692.31)+ signup bonus ($50,000) and total is $53,692.31. Out of which the company withhold taxes ($29,665.31) and I got $240227.00. WebVery strictly and legally speaking, there is no provision in tax law to claim a deduction of return of sign-on bonus by employee to the employer. I am suggesting a very practical input here. You may request your employer to show the salary net of join-on bonus in the full and final settlement.
