Web29 de nov. de 2024 · I had a need to produce a timing pulley for a real car timing belt. The original author's design was spot on, I just needed to modularise it a bit and do some minor cleanup. Enjoy! Usage. You will need to create a "tooth profile". This is the "negative" cut out on the pulley, eg: the Positive profile of a tooth on the belt. WebMeasure the parameter of the belt you need, thickness, and tooth information. Create a sketch of a cylindrical belt. To dimension the circle by its parameter you will need to split it in two, and measure half. You probably know this already, but the belt needs to be cylindrical, it will flex to the shape you need.

Calculate the diameter of your pulley if you were to measure it with a caliper valley to valley by subtracting two times the tooth height of 2.06 mm. For example: 78.43 – 2 * 2.06 = 74.31 mm. Sketch this second circle diameter of 74.31 mm.
